WHAT IS BREATHWORK
Breathwork is a practice that has evolved over thousands of years. Pranayamic breathing, or intentional breath control, has been a part of yoga since its origins over 2000 years ago, and it has long existed outside of formal yoga practice. People still study and practice it today, and formal types of breathwork programs continue to be developed as people seek to harness its healing potential in specific ways.
Breathwork supports the balance between the sympathetic (fight or fly modes) and parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous systems.
Breathwork increases the heart-brain coherency.
Numerous scientific studies documented the positive influence of Breathwork on both physical and mental health.
Breathwork sessions focus on controlled, conscious breathing which leads to greater awareness of our body feelings, emotions and thoughts. It improves our flow of energy (Ki and blood).
